This is not a pipe-dream, but within your reach: we train your domestic assistant to do just that, leaving you with more time to pursue your career, your personal interests or spend with your children. Your stressful lifestyle is changed, becoming more organized - you can lead a more relaxed life.Moreover, women or men working as domestic assistants are
usually keen on becoming empowered by developing their skills -
it provides self-development and upliftment. While they
acquire new skills, you can now utilise the service that they can offer.
These cooking classes for your domestic help is convenient and
economical. The domestic assistant has the time, enthusiasm and knowledge as
well as the patience to enable him/her to prepare good food on time.
Dinner meals course: First of all, the domestic assistant receives basic cooking
lessons, using commonly available
ingredients. With or without your advice he/she can carefully plan a week's or
a day's menu.
He/she is trained how to combine meat, starches and vegetables to complement
each other in terms of look and tastiness resulting in a balanced meal. He/she becomes self-motivated and gains interest in
preparing food.
What is included?
We train him/her to prepare food in a nutritious and "high
energy" way (steaming of vegetables, not overcooking, etc.)
Basic dishes, as well as well-proven
ones with influences of Mediterranean, Italian, Thai cooking, good curries...
Neither “Boerekos” nor high cuisine!
Recipes by Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Marie Claire are included.
If necessary, your household is supplied with the main herb plants to create a herb garden necessary for healthy and tasty cooking.
A variety of lessons is available. You can enroll for the
dinner meals course and/or select particular lessons to be attended.
Classes are usually conducted in English or Afrikaans (language preferred by the specific class).
Preferably 4 but a maximum of
5 persons are accomodated per class so that personal attention can be offered.
Your domestic assistant brings along:

How: In a spacious kitchen at 266 Lawley Street,
Waterkloof, Pretoria
OR in your own home (see below)
We prepare the dishes together. At the end of the lesson, a portion of
cooked food is sent home.
Colourful recipes in English in
plastic pockets are provided to be inserted in
their
structured file.
At the end of a dinner meal course, or after each lesson, a personalized
certificate is given.
Costs:
R260 per lesson
R100 for registration and recipe file
For each herb plant provided: R30-R40
